OUR STORY
- Founded in 2020, the SOL Collective was established to uplift and showcase the voices of women of color in the storytelling community and arts scene of Chicago. The name SOL holds significant meaning for us as it symbolizes our identity as women of the Sun, our connection to our ancestral spirits, and our commitment to sharing the Stories of Our Lives.
- MISSION
- We are a group of tellers who share stories rooted in the perspectives of Black women and women of color. We bring high-polished storytelling to our audiences to entertain, enlighten, and nourish.
- VISION
- We strive for a world in which Black women and women of color are valued
- by all for their truth telling, shared life experiences, and worldmaking. We
- envision a global artistic community where Black women and women of
- color participate as full creative members.
