Founded in 2020, the SOL Collective was established to uplift and showcase the voices of women of color in the storytelling community and arts scene of Chicago. The name SOL holds significant meaning for us as it symbolizes our identity as women of the Sun, our connection to our ancestral spirits, and our commitment to sharing the Stories of Our Lives.
- A collective group of women of color who share the stories of our lives which we tell authentically from our hearts and souls. SOL means sun in Spanish, and we see ourselves as a myriad of women of the sun of all ages, stages, colors, and walks of life. A true storytelling circle!
